Happy July everyone!
And what a wonderful July it's been. As I mentioned in my recent post "Go Green, Save Green", the weather in Vancouver has been absolutely outstanding this summer. This leads to many Vancouverites shunning traditional indoor activities for their outdoor counterpart. Why slave away in an office when you can try your hand in the field? Why sleep under a roof when you can snooze under the stars? And, of course, why in the world would you ever cook in the confines of a hot kitchen, when you can experiment with an array of fresh foods and seasonings on the BBQ?!
Check out this article by Courier-Islander writer Doug Sloan - Salmon suits BC Pinot Noir. We'd like to think that his wine suggestions are bang on,especially where he mentions the deliciously affordable Painted Turtle Pinot Noir which retails for only $9.99!
If your mouth is watering too, pop by the Ocean Wisewebsite for tips on buying sustainable ocean-friendly seafood, fire up the BBQ, uncork the Pinot and let the good times roll.
Until next time, cheers!
